I don’t know about you, but my kids seem to turn into little snack-eating machines during summer break. The fruit bowl is always overflowing and available for quick anytime snacks. However, I like to make them some conventient and fun plant based snacks that can be taken on the go for any summertime adventures.

I prepare a variety of snack for my children to choose from but their all-time favorite is just dehydrated strawberries. It’s so simple! I just wash up fresh strawberries, slice them, and place them in my dehydrator (affiliate link) until they are fully dried.

I also make plant based fruit roll ups for them. I dont have a specific recipe because we like to switch it up often and try new flavor combinations. Almost any fruit will work but you have to be sure the include at least one fruit that is high in pectin in order for it to set up right and be able to peel off the tray in one piece. I use special fruit roll up trays (affiliate link) for this since the regular dehydrator trays have holes throughout.

I hope these fun vegan snack ideas help you and your kids keep your energy up for whatever you may have planned this summer!
